POTTERY/DRUMMING/STORYTELLING/ACTING/FILMAKING CAMP"
This is an exciting full day one week Summer Program for children 4-14yrs.In this camp your children's day will be filled with Pottery/Arts&Crafts/Storytelling/Drumming/Dance/Acting/Filmaking.
Half their day will be with Shawna Morrissette, kids learn a new pottery technique from handbuilding to playing on the wheel. They are encouraged to express their creativity and uniqueness in there one of a kind masterpieces. Then we will have storytime where the children and Shawna create a story together during lunch and two snack time which allows children to improve their communications and listening skills. It can also help to expand their minds and imaginations . Then we pull out muscial instruments from all over the world and make some NOISE WOOHOOO!! Drumming supports campers to blow off steam and learn another way of expression without words.
The second half of their day will be with Erin Gray doing Dance and Acting and Filmmaking.
Children are given a chance to experience the life of a script from conception to final product. Children will learn skills in all areas of theatre and film:
including but not limited to costuming, acting, set design, and many
more. This camp gives children an opportunity to increase their voice
and confidence as well as a chance to meet others with the same
interests as them. Each week a new script will be created by the campers
and made into a final production: premiering for the first time in
theatres ( at the studio) on the Friday at 3pm for all parents , grandparents and friends to watch at the end of each week. In addition to the
major product, camp will also consist of many theatre, movement and
dance games, to keep the children active, entertained and engaged. So
if your child wants to be a star, this is for them.
Each child will get to take home a DVD copy of their movie.
Pottery can be picked up 4-6 weeks after camp.
